For those seeking adventure but new to the world of sailing, the RYA Start Yachting course is the perfect introduction. This two-day, hands-on course will immerse you in the essentials of sailing, without any dull classroom sessions. You’ll jump straight into action aboard a modern, luxury yacht in beautiful Mallorca, surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Balearic Islands. This course is designed for absolute beginners and provides a taste of the exhilarating sailing lifestyle.
Even if you’ve never set foot on a yacht, this course will give you a fantastic experience. You’ll be guided by our expert instructors, learning basic sailing and boating skills in a fun and safe environment. Feel free to jump in and participate as much as you want, or simply observe and absorb the knowledge—it’s all at your pace.

With everything taken care of, all you need to focus on is enjoying the experience and soaking up the incredible world of sailing!
Sailors learn quickly that weather conditions can change without warning. It’s rarely dangerous, however, you should come prepared with a variety of clothing to accommodate warm weather as well as chilly or wet conditions. You’ll be exposed to the elements, so don’t forget sun protection, sunglasses, and non-slip shoes. This list of sailing essentials will give you more information on what you should be sure to bring with you.
The course begins at 10 a.m. on the Saturday and should be completed by 6 p.m. on the following Sunday.

Whether you’re just starting out or have a bit of experience, this course is the perfect step toward becoming a confident crew member—and one day, a skipper!
Are you ready to take the helm and lead your own crew? The RYA Day Skipper Course is your chance to step up and experience the thrill of commanding a yacht. Over five exciting days, you’ll gain hands-on experience navigating, sailing, and managing a yacht under the guidance of expert instructors. By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to confidently skipper a yacht on short, daytime passages—putting you well on your way to achieving your ultimate sailing goals.
The RYA Coastal Skipper Course is ideal for those who already have solid seamanship skills but want to take on more challenging coastal passages. This course will build your confidence in skippering through rougher seas, night navigation, and adverse weather conditions. It’s also a great way to prepare for the Yachtmaster™ Coastal exam, as it fulfills part of the sea-time requirements.
